L-Charge Sets New Record for off-Grid EV Chargers

L-CHARGE, the super fast charging technology developer, announces the availability of its first-generation 10-minute-speed charging station fully working prototype. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the company on its way to bridge the gap towards a low-carbon economy, demonstrating the commercially viable gas-powered off-grid installations that would make EVs more accessible to the general public.

The installation is presented in two categories – stationary and mobile. With a charge power range of 250-600kw, the tool can charge a battery in 10 minutes for 25-50kwh or for up to 120-250 km of mileage. Designed for highways, gas stations, and parking lots, L-Charge’s stationary charger does not require any staff or connection to an external power grid. Stationary chargers run on an internal supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) or LNG/H2 mixture.

L-Charge’s mobile device focuses on urbanized areas thanks to a minivan base that makes it easy to move from one electric car to another. Charge power on first models is 120kw, so battery ov EV can be charged in 10 minutes for 20kwh or for 100km of mileage.

The L-Charge team notes their devices emit 7.05kg of CO2 per 100km of charge power, 68% less than diesel vehicles now emit for their 100km. It also said that the chargers can run on both liquefied natural gas and hydrogen.

“Chargers will give you the fastest charge your EV can accept. Generally, most of EVs models are able to accept 100-120kW, so we build ourchargers for that needs, but as soon as there will be more advanced accumulators available the charging speed for them will increase respectively”, Dmitry Lashin, CEO of L-Charge explains.

L-Charge is releasing the first production batch of sample installation, which is targeted at showcasing the technology to potential EV and industry partners.
