About 65% of Russians save on entertainment and restaurants, 52% – on vacations and travel, 47% – on clothes and shoes, almost the same amount – on beauty salons and hairdressing salons, according to a poll conducted by Raiffeisenbank.
Only 2.6% stopped saving this year. At the same time, 31% of respondents save on food, and 17% – on medicine, Russian media reported.
Almost 50% of Russians save constantly, while another 27% started saving in 2021. Only 20% of Russians do not save at all.
Approximately 43% of Russians have faced increased costs due to rising prices.
About 50% noted an increase in prices for basic goods and services by 10-30%. And 27% of Russians believe that prices have increased by 30-50%.
The overwhelming majority of respondents do not protect their savings from inflation in any way. Only 10% of Russians have invested in foreign currency to reduce risks.
Almost 13% of citizens invest money, 26% have opened a deposit or savings account, and 8.5% have invested in real estate.
