Kyrgyzstan freight transport marks increase in 2022

The National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan reports that in the period between January and November 2022, the amount of freight transported in Kyrgyzstan grew across all modes of transportation.

The committee estimates that the total volume of freight transported in Kyrgyzstan in the first eleven months of 2022 was 39.8 million tons, up 31.6 percent from the same time the year before (30.2 million tons).

The amount of freight transported by road during the reporting period totaled 32.3 million tons, up 40.2 percent over the same time the previous year (23.1 million tons).

According to reports, the number of goods transported by rail from January through November of this year climbed from 6.9 million tons to 7.2 million tons, an increase of 4.1 percent.

During the reporting period, 277,500 tons of goods were moved by pipeline.
