Global Finance Names Ameriabank the Best Investment Bank in Armenia for 2023

Global Finance, the leading international financial publication, has named Ameriabank the Best Investment Bank in Armenia for the eighth year in a row.

The financial circles recognized on Monday Ameriabank’s excellence in investment banking, its ability to provide tailored investment banking, and its advisory solutions designed in an effort to meet its clients’ diverse financial needs.

According to Ameriabank’s CEO and Chairman of the Management Board, Artak Hanesyan, Ameriabank has been the leading corporate and investment bank in the country for more than a decade, financing the largest strategic projects and serving the largest corporate clients in the country, despite its more diversified universal banking model of the recent years.

As Hanesyan underscored, it’s the bank’s investment banking team’s expertise and dedication that continue to position Ameriabank as a leader in the Armenian market, pointing out that they remain committed to financing sectors and projects in the country that are most promising in terms of sustainability and long-term development.

Ameriabank already has an active campaign titled “Triple Best” underway since it has been named the Best Bank in Armenia by three leading international magazines in 2022 – Global Finance, Euromoney, and The Banker.

Running under the slogan “The Best Opportunity Is Created by People,” the campaign is dedicated to all people – from clients and partners to employees of the bank- that have stood behind its achievements during recent years.

Global Finance is proud to recognize the accomplishments of the leading institutions in this sector in a year shrouded by record inflation and economic uncertainty with our World’s Best Investment Bank Awards for 2023, Joseph D. Giarraputo, publisher and editorial director of Global Finance, said.

Noting that whenever a major initiative is in play, companies rely on the advice, consultation, and guidance of investment bankers, Giarraputo underscored that during tumultuous times,  their expertise is perhaps of utmost importance.

Global Finance editors used a series of criteria to score and select winners with input from industry experts. They used, among other criteria, entries from banks, market share, data on efforts to address market conditions, innovation, pricing, after-market performance of underwritings on the number and size of deals, service and advice, structuring capabilities, distribution network, and market reputation.
