Turkish Airlines, Mongolia’s MIAT sign codeshare agreement

Turkish Airlines and MIAT Mongolian Airlines have inked a codeshare agreement to increase the number of destinations in their respective networks, Anadolu Agency reports.

Passengers who take connecting flights through Istanbul and direct flights between Türkiye and Mongolia will have additional options thanks to the codeshare agreement.

Turkish Airlines will use its code TK on flights from Ulaanbaatar to Istanbul that are operated by MIAT Mongolian Airlines, and MIAT Mongolian Airlines will use its code on flights from Istanbul to Ulaanbaatar as well as on flights to 10 other destinations that Turkish Airlines operates.

According to Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Eksi, the signing of this codeshare agreement and the reciprocal expansion of frequency between Istanbul and Ulaanbaatar, the two flag carriers strengthened their strong partnership.

According to Eksi, the agreement would encourage more tourists to visit the two “unique and beautiful nations.”
