Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Sivak stated during a joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic that the government has taken steps to reduce the increase in housing construction cost in Belarus.
Deputy PM Sivak claimed that to ensure price stability and slow the rise in house building prices, the appropriate measures have been adopted. This was accomplished by increasing building material pricing control and establishing profit margin and markup limitations.
The deputy prime minister explains that this year, efforts to shorten the building process are already underway.
The president and the government have adopted a number of regulatory legal acts that govern the use of standardized designs, the creation of pre-design documentation, acquiring building permits, the construction and commissioning of single-family homes, undertaking state examinations of project design documents, and public discussion.
“This work is proceeding in line with the plan approved by the government,” Sivak noted.
