Vietnamese low-cost airline to start operating in Uzbekistan

VietJet Air, a Vietnamese low-cost airline, will begin offering direct flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Tashkent, according to Uzbekistan Airports JSC.

On December 15, the airline will launch the first passenger flight. A single flight every ten days will be conducted using an Airbus A-330 aircraft.

In addition to Uzbekistan, VietJet also announced routes connecting Almaty city and Nha Trang city, the tourism hub in central Vietnam, as part of the celebrations for the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Kazakhstan.

VietJet Air is an international low-cost airline and the first private airline established in Vietnam, headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City. The airline company operates about 100 Airbus A-320, A-321, and A-330 aircraft. The company operates flights on 52 domestic and 52 international routes.

VietJet was a global leader in building local and international aviation networks following the Covid-19 epidemic to support the economic and social growth of new locations.

VietJet additionally improves Vietnam’s links with Australia, Kazakhstan, India, Japan, South Korea, and beyond Europe. Particularly, Vietjet’s rapid and practical flights have helped to promote social, cultural, and economic interactions across nations and revive the recovery wave.

The Vietnamese low-cost airline has been recognized as the best ultra-low-cost airline for five years (2017-2021) according to the global rating website Airline Rating.
