NATO will give Ukraine more non-lethal assistance, including gasoline and generators, Ukrinform reports.
According to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, there is never-before-seen assistance from NATO Allies. Additionally, he announced that today allies pledged more funds to the NATO Comprehensive Assistance Package for Ukraine. This will cover the cost of critical non-lethal assistance like gasoline and generators. aiding Ukraine in addressing the effects of Russian attacks on its electricity system.
“I was also glad to take part in the G7 foreign ministerial meeting just now. To secure commitments for the emergency infrastructure coordination mechanism to assist Ukraine,” Stoltenberg said following the first session of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Bucharest.
He stated that the Ukrainian Armed Soldiers had advanced significantly, freeing territory and repelling Russian forces. At the same time, the Russian military continues to have a sizable personnel presence and considerable capabilities throughout most of Ukraine.
“Russia is using brutal missile and drone attacks to leave Ukraine cold and dark this winter. President Putin is trying to weaponize winter. To force Ukrainians to freeze or flee. He is trying to break the will of the brave Ukrainian people. And to divide all of us who support them,” Stoltenberg continued.
Highlighting that NATO is not a participant to the fight, Stoltenberg stated that the summit in Bucharest sends a clear message of NATO unity and ongoing support for Ukraine.
The Secretary General emphasized that NATO allies would stand with Ukraine for as long it took and would not give up.
NATO will continue to provide Ukraine with both practical and political support both now and in the future, as the Secretary General emphasized.
The NATO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting will take place in Bucharest on November 29 and 30, as previously announced. The most crucial aspects of Euro-Atlantic security are discussed by the Allies. Dmytro Kuleba, the Ukrainian minister of foreign affairs, will attend the meeting.
