Turkmenistan’s foreign trade turnover surges by 40.7%

The Deputy Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Government, who is in charge of economic and financial issues, informed at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers that the foreign trade turnover of the country surged by 40.7% in the first three-quarters of 2022.

Hojamyrat Geldimyradov stated that the amount of output grew by 10.9% when compared to the same time last year in a report he wrote on macroeconomic indicators for the months of January through September of this year.

According to Business Turkmenistan, the foreign trade turnover increased by 10.5% on a yearly basis.

In comparison to the same nine-month period the previous year, the total amount of investments made in Turkmenistan increased by 12.6%.

The Head of Turkmenistan said in his remarks to the attendees of the cabinet meeting that the accomplishments of the work that has been accomplished, regardless of the challenges in the world economy, clearly attest to the successful growth of the nation.

According to him, the GDP of the nation increased by 6.2% in the first nine months of this year, and during that time, 20 billion manats worth of capital investments were made in the nation.

President Berdimuhamedov stressed the need to focus hard to finish the current year with positive indications, to take action to achieve good results in all sectors, and to ensure the steady development of GDP while focusing on long-term responsibilities.

The government meeting reviewed the outcomes of the national economic complex’s actions during the previous nine months of 2022 and addressed the advancement of the President’s and other initiatives for the nation’s socioeconomic growth.
