Exports from Türkiye surge to $21.3 billion

According to preliminary figures issued by the Trade Ministry on Wednesday, Türkiye’s exports increased 2.8% year over year to $21.3 billion in October, Anadolu Agency reported.

In October, the nation’s imports increased by 31.9% on an annualized average to $29.3 billion. The export-import coverage ratio of Türkiye fell by 20.5 percentage points from 2021 to 72.7% last month.

Increasing from $1.5 billion in October 2021, Türkiye’s trade imbalance almost soared to $8 billion last month.

The preliminary figures revealed that Turkish exports increased to $209.5 billion in January–October, up 15.4% over the same period last year.

The trade difference increased by 168.5% to $91.1 billion during the course of the 10-month period while imports increased by 39.5% on an annual basis to $300.6 billion.
