Azerbaijani FM welcomes newly appointed Moldovan ambassador

The foreign affairs minister of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, announced last week the arrival of the newly appointed Moldovan ambassador to Azerbaijan, Alexandr Esaulenco, Azernews reported.

In addition to congratulating Esaulenco on his position and wishing him luck in his endeavors, Bayramov also received a copy of his credentials.

The agenda for current bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Moldova, as well as the state of the area, was discussed during the meeting.

Bayramov highlighted that Moldova and Azerbaijan have a successful bilateral cooperation agenda. He emphasized that collaboration with Moldova within regional and international institutions, including the Eastern Partnership, UN, OSCE, European Council, OIC, GUAM, and the EU, is extremely important to Azerbaijan.

Additionally, Bayramov provided information on the post-conflict reality in the area, the extensive building and restoration projects undertaken in the areas freed from occupation, and Azerbaijan’s initiatives to advance the peace agenda.

The ambassador expressed his gratitude for the welcome and his best wishes for the upcoming Victory Day. The ambassador stated his happiness at serving in Azerbaijan, a country with a long history and rich customs. He underlined the significance of advancing ties between the two nations in a number of areas, including the economy, culture, and energy, and he pledged to do his part to do so.
