Azerbaijan’s Shamakhi hosts second grape and wine festival

The Grape and Wine Festival in Shamakhi, which has long and rich traditions in the field of viticulture, helps to foster the country's current viticultural expansion.

Shamakhi, a region well-known for being a spectacular wine-growing region in Azerbaijan, will hold the 2nd Grape and Wine Festival on October 1-2, according to Azernews.

The State Tourism Agency, the Shamakhi District Executive Authority, and the Regional Development Public Union have all worked together to set up the event in the Meysari town in Shamakhi.

The project’s objectives include stimulating the growth of regional wine and grape production, increasing the export potential of wine goods, and boosting tourism and tradition in Azerbaijan.

The festival’s agenda features concerts, performances, and educational programs about the possibilities of tourism in the nation, as well as the cultivation of grapes and the production of wine.

The wine festival will also feature stands of local farmers who will offer their products to festival goers.

Additionally, the festival will feature theatrical performances, art installations dedicated to wine-making, and concerts with several well-known local and international musicians.
