Kazakhstan has given 41 generators for use in Ukrainian hospitals, according to the Health Ministry of the war-torn country, Anadolu Agency reported.
The generators will be sent to areas under attack by Russian forces and where the equipment is most required, like Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv, according to a ministry statement posted on Facebook late Sunday.
Each of the generators, according to Health Minister Viktor Liashko, would assist supply uninterrupted electricity to operate rooms, critical care units, and oxygen stations, according to the announcement.
The batch of generators was supplied owing to the efforts of the inter-parliamentary friendship group ‘Ukraine-Kazakhstan,’ which is led by People’s Deputy Serhiy Nagornyak.
Ukraine’s energy infrastructure has been the focus of Russian airstrikes since the war began in late February, however, raids accelerated drastically after an Oct. 8 explosion damaged Russia’s important Kerch Bridge connecting the nation with the Crimean peninsula, which was unlawfully seized in 2014.
