Kazakhstan is a trustworthy global ally, promoting peace and cooperation: President

Speaking at a meeting with the Almaty region’s public, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said Kazakhstan regularly and successfully promotes the virtues of peace, collaboration, and mutual trust, earning it great international acclaim and proving that it is a forward-thinking nation.

The President asserts that Kazakhstan’s long-term national and populist interests must pragmatically direct the country’s strategic trajectory. Tokayev underlined that the country’s consistent and well-balanced foreign policy was directly responsible for the number of key international events hosted in Astana last week.

Tokayev contends that effective growth is impossible in the contemporary global environment without a proactive foreign policy. The world should be aware of Kazakhstan’s status as an independent nation, and the Kazakh voice should be heard in all international forums, he underlined.

The President called attention to the geopolitical climate on a worldwide scale by highlighting the breakdown of the system of international relations and the disregard for fundamental UN norms.

“People came to appreciate the value of stability and peace. We must understand the cost of maintaining our territorial integrity and independence. Everyone should work honestly and contribute to our country’s growth. Finally, let us not forget that the history of independence is in the hands of every citizen,” Tokayev concluded
