A fresh new ADB Country Partnership Strategy for Kazakhstan for the period of 2023-2027 is set to be implemented according to Sergio Lugaresi, the ADB Executive Director while attending a meeting with the Kazakh’s Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov, The Astana Times reported.
ADB stands fully behind the development as well as the implementation of this new strategy.
At the meeting both interlocutors spoke about the new strategy and the means of its implementation, but they also covered topics such as Kazakhstan’s recent economic policy and the issues that the region is currently faced with.
Kazakh’s Prime Minister argued that the country has stepped into a new era of governance, and sees an improved political culture as well as transformation in the economy. The country is constantly facing changes and implementing fresh new measures that aim at diversifying the economy, but also reorganize the current state of the public administration and boost the human capital development.
According to Smailov, putting the nation’s top priorities into action will aid in overcoming the challenges of the present phase and pave the way for long-term economic growth.
